A.J. Rombach is an artist, curator and gallerist living in Marblehead, MA. Rombach began painting at age 9 under Jack and Debra Highberger at Acorn Gallery where she was nurtured and encouraged to pursue her studies as a painter. She received her BFA from Boston University in 2010. Following graduation, she relocated to Philadelphia, where she and 3 others formed FJORD, a gallery and studio collective. In addition to co-directing FJORD on an administrative level, Rombach has made significant curatorial efforts within the space. Her own work has been selected for several solo and group shows including the 71st Annual Juried Show at the Woodmere Art Museum. In 2014, she curated the RISD Painting MFA program’s summer show in Brooklyn. In the last 5 years, Rombach has painted 10 independent and group murals in Costa Rica, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Santa Fe and Minneapolis. After 7 years in Philadelphia, Rombach has recently relocated to her hometown.
